The Unbound Collection, its collection of "independent" hotels and resorts, will double its portfolio by 2019, according to Hyatt Hotels Corp., which today announced the addition of five hotels to collection.

Two of the hotels already are open: Holston House in Nashville and Spirit Ridge in Osoyoos, B.C., Canada. The Nashville property debuted inside a 1920s Art Deco building in December 2017 and has 191 guest rooms, a fitness center, a signature restaurant, a rooftop pool and bar, and 2,233 square feet of meeting space.

Spirit Ridge, which opened 10 years ago on land occupied for thousands of years by the Osoyoos Indian Band, also joined the Unbound Collection in December. The property is undergoing a $5 million renovation, the first phase of which is scheduled for completion this spring. Located 250 miles east of Vancouver, the adobe-style resort has 226 suites and villas, private beach access to nearby Lake Osoyoos, three restaurants, several pools with hot tubs and private cabanas, and a 7,000-square-foot conference center.

Two more hotels are scheduled to join the Unbound Collection this spring. The first is the Bellevue Hotel in Philadelphia. Currently known as Hyatt at the Bellevue, the 113-year-old hotel will reflag to the Unbound Collection in March. A  multimillion-dollar renovation was completed at the 172-room property in 2016; amenities include 30,000 square feet of meeting space and a fine-dining restaurant.

The second is the Eliza Jane hotel, scheduled to open this spring in New Orleans. Located in the city's Central Business District, inside a building that dates back to the 1860s. The property will have 196 guest rooms, a fitness center, a street-level restaurant and 1,800 square feet of meeting space.

The fifth hotel joining the collection is a new property coming to Hollywood, Calif. Scheduled to open in 2019, the unnamed hotel will have 64 guest rooms, a ground-level restaurant, a street-front lounge and a rooftop pool deck.

"We are thrilled to continue growing the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand with these new North American properties," said Sandra Cordova Micek, senior vice president of global brands for Hyatt. "Whether it's a captivating past, an exclusive destination, or world-class architecture and design, each of the new properties joining the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand will maintain their distinct character and the freedom to be unique, giving the modern traveler even more ways to enjoy one-of-a-kind choices when they travel."

Hyatt introduced the Unbound Collection in March 2016. The brand currently includes five properties in Austin, Texas; Phoenix; Miami Beach; Paris; and Carmelo, Uruguay.
