Renovations are complete at Idaho's Sun Valley Lodge, now with larger guest rooms, which reduce the number from 148 to 94, 65 of which have fireplaces. The larger bathrooms feature walk-in showers and soaking tubs. New celebrity suites were named after stars who have visited the resort, including Marilyn Monroe, Sonia Henie, Ernest Hemingway and Gary Cooper, as well as Sun Valley founder Averell Harriman.

Also new is 20,000-square-foot Sun Valley Spa with 15 treatment rooms, a fitness center, a full-service salon, a yoga studio and a heated saline pool, with views of Bald Mountain. Outside, the redesigned pool now has a larger deck, a new Jacuzzi and a fire pit.

Accommodations at the resort also are available in the 105-room Sun Valley Inn, a variety of deluxe and standard condominiums, and eight types of cottages that offer two to seven bedrooms. The property features more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space. A plethora of dining options are spread throughout, including all-day dining at Gretchen's Restaurant; drinks at the Duchin Lounge; fireside coffee, hot chocolate and pastries at Konditorei; quick fare at Bald Mountain Pizza & Pasta and the Short Line Deli; lunch or dinner on the mountain at the Roundhouse at the top of the Roundhouse Gondola, and modern steak house fare at Sun Valley Inn's Ram.
