 Revenue per available room grew 8 percent in the third quarter at InterContinental Hotel Group's U.S. properties, the company announced Monday at its annual owners conference. Occupancy was up by 3 percent, while the average daily rate jumped by 3.4 percent. The company's total RevPAR -- which includes new hotels -- grew by 9.5 percent, outperforming STR's industry average of 7.9 percent. IHG will announce full third-quarter financial results on Nov. 8.
