In Texas, concepts have been announced for the three restaurants that will be part of the 1,012-room JW Marriott Austin, which debuts Feb. 13. The eateries will be called Osteria Pronto, Corner, and Burger Bar on Congress. Osteria Pronto is a full-service regional Italian restaurant, featuring local ingredients. Corner will focus on Texas cuisine, also using local ingredients, and serving specialty tequila concoctions. The Burger Bar on Congress will have a food-truck-style walkup window, serving burgers, fries, and shakes for lunch and early evening meals. The hotel, which is opening about two weeks earlier than first announced, is two blocks from the Austin Convention Center and has 112,000 square feet of its own meeting space. The new property is aiming for LEED Silver certification. Other features include a fitness center, a spa and an outdoor pool with an event deck.
