The 328-room JW Marriott Houston Downtown debuted today in the 104-year-old Samuel F. Carter Building. Guest room offerings include executive and presidential suites, long-term apartment suites and four spa suites; all guest rooms feature 55-inch LCD TVs, iPod stations, Nespresso coffee machines, wireless Internet and touch-screen room controls. In-room iPads are equipped with the iRiS app, which allows guests to access and book all facilities and services, such as dining, spa, room service, concierge and valet, travel information and more. The signature dining outlet is Main Kitchen, which connects to the 806 Bar & Lounge. The property is the first to offer the new Spa by JW concept, developed in collaboration with Aromatherapy Associates. The hotel has more than 16,000 square feet of event space.
