Marriott International announced plans to open 10 new outposts of the luxury brand JW Marriott this year. The new properties, representing an investment of more than $2 billion, will open in five different countries: China, Colombia, India, Turkey and the United States. Domestic properties include 2010 openings in San Antonio, Los Angeles, Miami and Chicago. By year's end JW Marriott will have 54 hotels in its portfolio. An additional 20 properties, in 13 countries, are under construction or in development.
