The Jekyll Island Authority Board of Directors has approved plans to build three hotels that will bring up to 535 new guest rooms to the Georgia island. The $88 million project will include a 210-room Courtyard by Marriott and an adjacent 150-room SpringHill Suites that will open in June 2016. A future 175-room full-service hotel is planned for 2017.
