Jumeirah Group -- the Dubai-based luxury hotel company that currently operates 23 hotels in Europe, the Middle East and Asia -- has signed management agreements to operate a 190-room Jumeirah hotel along with 273 branded residences in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Construction on the Jumeirah Kuala Lumpur and the adjoining Jumeirah Living Kuala Lumpur residences is scheduled to break ground in 2016 and be completed by year-end 2021. The project is Jumeirah Group's first entry into the Malaysia market. The hotel, which will be near the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, will feature a full-service restaurant, meeting space, a spa and a business center. The hotel will be supported by Jumeirah Group's Singapore-based sales team.
