Kimpton Hotel & Restaurants is now officially part of the InterContinental Hotels Group Business Rewards program (IHG Business Rewards Points Program for Bookers), a loyalty program that rewards individuals who book on behalf of others at participating IHG hotels. This is the first business rewards program for the Kimpton brand, which was purchased by Atlanta-based IHG for $430 million in cash in 2015.

With IHG Business Rewards, meeting and event planners, traveler managers, social planners as well as any individuals booking for groups earn three IHG Rewards Club points for every $1 U.S. dollar spent at participating hotels for guest rooms, meeting and event space, group F&B and all-inclusive meeting packages where offered. Points can be redeemed for personal or company rewards such as hotel stays, retail vouchers or meeting credits at more than 4,600 participating hotels.

For further enticement, Kimpton has launched another promotion called Large Meetings Served Intimately, targeting planners who book groups of 40-plus rooms by Sept. 30, 2018, for programs executed by Dec. 30, 2019. The program offers the following benefits.

  • Book 40-49 rooms on peak, get 5% off master bill + one perk
  • Book 50-59 rooms peak, get 6% off master bill + two perks
  • Book 60-69 rooms peak, get 7% off master bill + three perks
  • Book 70+ rooms peak, get 8% off master bill + four perks and one Signature Tastemaker Perk

Sample Tastemaker perks include savoring local flavors with a one-hour cooking demonstration hosted by an on-site chef or a one-hour performance by a local musician.
