The 360-room La Jolla (Calif.) Marriott has been purchased by HEI Hotels and Resorts, which will invest around $20 million to renovate the rooms, lobby and other public spaces over the next several years. The property includes 16,000 square feet of meeting space and will now be operated by HEI. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the hotel was acquired for nearly $71 million, though HEI Hotels and Resorts would not confirm that figure.
