According to press reports, the 500-room Claridge Tower at Bally's Atlantic City Hotel & Casino (owned by Harrah's Entertainment Inc.) is getting a $20 million makeover. As part of the project, guest rooms will be renovated in the facility, which opened in 1929 (it became part of Bally's in 2002). Part of the project will be paid for by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, the New Jersey agency that uses gaming revenues for housing projects and economic development.
