A $150 million renovation at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers will expand all 1,780 guest rooms and grand suites, as well as the Sheraton Club Lounge. The first stage of the project, to be completed in May, will cover 1,080 guest rooms, including 32 grand suites, and the lounge. Work on the remaining guest rooms will begin in December, to be completed in April 2012. The updated guest rooms will feature Sheraton's new design scheme; all will be outfitted with low credenzas and wall-mounted flat-panel televisions, Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds, chaise longues that convert into beds, and a wired and wireless Internet platform and RIFD locks. The bathrooms also will be redone. Enhancements to the club lounge include expanded seating capacity, a coffee and espresso station, and a business center with three computers and a printer.
