The 664-room Langham Place, Mongkok, Hong Kong, which in the last several months has undergone a top-down renovation, will be rebranded the Cordis, Hong Kong on Aug. 26, according to the Langham Hospitality Group. The hotel will be the flagship property under the group's new global, upscale Cordis brand, which was announced earlier this year.

The hotel features 16 meeting rooms, as well as several indoor and outdoor spaces for events. All rooms come equipped with smart phones, which guests can use to make unlimited local and international calls to Australia, China, Singapore, the United Kingdom and the United States during their stays.

In addition, the hotel features more than 1,500 works of contemporary Chinese art, with an estimated value of US$4.5 million, as well as a full-service spa; four restaurants, bars and lounges; and a private club lounge on the 36-floor. The hotel is connected to Langham Place Shopping Mall, offering more than 200 retail stores. Langham, which has 22 properties in its portfolio, has three new-build hotels scheduled to open by 2017, including one each in China, Dubai, and Jakarta, Indonesia
