The 296-room Lansdowne Resort, a Destination Hotel in Leesburg, Va., is embarking on a multimillion-dollar renovation to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The project at the 476-acre property will redesign all the guest rooms using an earth-toned palette, to be completed this spring. The décor will reference the resort's proximity to Northern Virginia's wine country, with bar-cart mini bars, wine-cask nightstands and glassware made from recycled wine bottles.
"The renovations to Lansdowne will not only elevate the guest experience, but will bring a modern, refined look to the property," said Skip James, director of sales and marketing for the resort. "These exciting enhancements will further solidify our stature as a leading luxury resort in Northern Virginia."
Among the property's offerings are 45 holes of championship golf, a full-service spa, five pools, a state-of-the-art health-and-fitness center and several dining options. For groups, there is 55,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 9,525-square-foot grand ballroom, a 3,293-square-foot terrace ballroom and a 126-seat amphitheater.
Further renovation details will be announced at a later date.
