The largest JW Marriott in the world opened in Indianapolis last Friday. With 1,005 guest rooms, the 34-story property features 54 meeting rooms and 104,000 square feet of event space, including a 40,500-square-foot ballroom. Guest rooms are equipped with 40-inch televisions in addition to MP3 and video players. The hotel opened as part of the $450 million Marriott Place development that includes the Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown, SpringHill Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown and the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown. All properties are connected to the newly renovated and expanded Indiana Convention Center; combined, they offer a total of 2,248 rooms.
