The 160-suite Le Méridien Mexico City debuted last week on Paseo de la Reforma, across from the Columbus monument. The boutique property was known as the Embassy Suites by Hilton Mexico City -- Reforma since its opening in late 2006 until Sept. 30 of this year, when the Hilton contract was terminated. The owners have made some renovations in advance of the reflagging, primarily to the lobby to create the Le Méridien Hub, a social gathering place with curated artwork. A fitness center and indoor pool are on site, as is an all-day restaurant now known as C'est la Vie. The hotel offers three 30-person meeting rooms, which can be combined.
