 Le Méridien opened its first new-build hotel in a major European city when the 259-room Le Méridien Istanbul Etiler debuted this week. The 34-story property, designed by Turkish architect Emre Arolat, provides panoramic views of the Bosphorus and two continents. Chic guest rooms offer amenities such as a docking station, rainforest shower and a separate bathtub. The signature spa has eight treatment rooms, a Turkish Hammam, indoor pool, heated outdoor pool and fitness center. A restaurant and bar are on the premises, as is a rooftop bar with views of the city. Nearly 22,000 square feet of meeting space is available, including a, 8,200-square-foot ballroom and nine meeting rooms.
