The 255-room Graves 601 Hotel Wyndham Grand has been sold to Loews Hotels & Resorts for $65 million. A spokesperson for Loews said the chain plans a $7 million renovation that will focus on the guest rooms, meeting space, lobby and lobby bar. The 22-story hotel has been rebranded the Loews Minneapolis Hotel. In a statement, Paul Whetsell, president and CEO of Loews Hotels & Resorts said, the acquisition of the property was a great addition to the company’s portfolio: “There are exciting new developments in Minneapolis, including the Block E area, and having our hotel in such a key Midwestern destination is a tremendous plus for the growth of our brand."
