Loews Hotels & Resorts has purchased the 120-room Hotel 1000 in Seattle. The luxury property will continue to run as is for the following year, and then will undergo a transition to the company's high-end brand, Loews Regency, in 2017.

"Seattle has been a target destination for us as we expand our brands into major U.S. markets," said Kirk Kinsell, president & CEO of Loews Hotels & Resorts. "Hotel 1000 has an ideal location, stellar reputation and a quality product."

Opened in 2006, Hotel 1000 is near the waterfront along Elliott Bay, between Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, the business district and Pioneer Square. The property features 6,000 square feet of meeting space, the BOKA Restaurant & Bar, the Spaahh, a health club and a golf simulator.
