Plans for a major renovation at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego were announced last week. The 1,625-room property, which was purchased by a subsidiary of Host Hotels & Resorts for $570 million in March of this year, will begin work on its guest rooms, meeting facilities, lounges, restaurants and public space in spring 2012. The hotel includes a rooftop pool with a 25,000-square-foot pool deck, a full-service spa and more than 125,000 square feet of function space.
