The 138-room Mandarin Oriental, Paris, opens today two blocks from the Jardin des Tuileries. The luxury hotel features a 9,000-square-foot spa, four meeting rooms and an indoor garden. Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx, a gourmet restaurant that seats 44, and Camelia, which accommodates up to 70, are the dining options. Architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte supervised renovation of the art deco building, facade and patio, and Sybille de Margerie designed the guest rooms, spa and public spaces. The hotel's indoor garden was created by Wilmotte & Associés, in association with the landscape artists François Neveux and Bernard Rouyer.
