Mandarin Oriental has signed on to manage a new luxury hotel in Istanbul, Turkey. The 130-room Mandarin Oriental Bosphorus, Istanbul, is slated to open alongside its namesake strait in 2016. The hotel will be in the Besiktas neighborhood, near the city’s financial district, and will offer several restaurants and extensive event facilities, including a ballroom and additional function rooms. Specific details about the meeting space are not yet available. The property also will feature a Spa at Mandarin Oriental.
