The 150-room Margaritaville Beach Resort at the Pointe in Nassau will open in phases, beginning in mid-2019. The six-acre development, which will also include 150 oceanfront private residences, will feature an open-air shopping concourse, a movie theater, a bowling alley, an outdoor performance stage for live entertainment, a cascading water pool, a St. Somewhere-branded spa, retail huts, a kid's club, and a private beach with cabanas and chaise lounges, as well as several signature Margaritaville food-and-beverage outlets.
The development will also offer a 45-slip marina, a public-access boardwalk lined by tiki-hut-style shops, a pier restaurant and a yacht club. At press time, there was no information on meeting space; stay tuned for more details as they become available.
"The Bahamas - one of the most beautiful places in the world - is an absolutely perfect location for a Margaritaville lifestyle destination," said John Cohlan, the company's CEO. "We're excited to combine our casual-luxe brand with the local Bahamian culture, known for its warmth and hospitality, to create a one-of-a-kind paradise to vacation, visit, live, or just kick back and relax. Nassau is an ideal destination for our lifestyle brand as we continue to expand our global hospitality footprint."
