The Marriott Puerto Vallarta has completed its year-long, US$18 million renovation project with a makeover of its 433 guest rooms. The newly modern rooms complement previous upgrades at the resort, including a new bar, a redesigned pool deck and renovations of the on-site restaurants.
The ocean-facing guest rooms pay homage to Western Mexico's state of Jalisco, the resort's home state, with warm neutral tones that contrast with near-abstract blue-silver wall designs depicting the native agave plant. New lighting fixtures and furniture populate each room, while remodeled bathrooms include rainforest showers, granite vanity countertops and enhanced lighting.

The hotel's lobby entrance also was recently renovated and now features an open-air layout, swinging chair pods and an ice cream parlor. The new Ceviche & Tequila Bar, just off the lobby, offers 180 brands of tequila in addition to mezcal, draft beers and fresh ceviche.

Outside, a new raised pool deck was built, featuring cocoon daybeds and 700 new lounge chairs gathered around the hotel's infinity pool. A new poolside palapa bar serves fresh chilled coconut water and cocktails.

Finally, the resort's popular Champions Sports Bar, Mikado Japanese Restaurant and Deli Los Mangos have all been renovated within the past year.

Marriott Puerto Vallarta is in the Marina Vallarta development, near a variety of restaurants and shops. The property features 28,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
