Michael Dominguez, vice president of global sales for Loews Hotels and Resorts, will become senior vice president of sales at MGM Resorts International, according to ASAE and other industry sources. Dominguez has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has been with Loews Hotels since 2005. An active participant in industry forums, Dominguez has held board positions with chapters of Meeting Professionals International and the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, among others. He replaces Richard Harper, who left MGM at the end of April for the executive vice president role at meetings procurement and management firm HelmsBriscoe. A formal announcement from MGM is expected next week.
