Millennium Hotels & Resorts has appointed Shaun Treacy as its new president for North America. The move is aimed at driving brand preference and furthering the reach of the hotel group's North America portfolio, which currently stands at 19.

With more than 25 years experience as a hotelier, Treacy will spearhead the company's growth and business strategy, as Millennium Hotels & Resorts works to reposition its collection of iconic hotels in key gateway locations. He takes on the role while the chain is in the midst of an unprecedented capital improvement program across the region.

"Shaun has made a highly successful career of harnessing the kind of leadership that makes hotels and brands succeed," said Aloysius Lee, group CEO of Millennium Hotels and Resorts. "His addition to our team represents our profound commitment to our guests, our associates and our partners within the communities we serve, underscoring our focus on putting them first."

Previously, Treacy was senior vice president, operations, for Americas and Europe for Rosewood Hotels, an international luxury hotel and resort company with 19 properties in 11 countries. Prior to this, he held the position of senior vice president, product and brand design, for Hyatt. Treacy is based in the New York offices of Millennium Hotels & Resorts.
