SLS Hotels has replaced Morgans Hotel Group -- which was to open a 300-room Mondrian-brand property -- at the Baha Mar resort in Nassau, Bahamas, according to press reports. The $3.5 billion Baha Mar development is scheduled to open on Cable Beach on Dec. 14. The resort also will include properties managed by Rosewood, Hyatt and Melía, plus the Baha Mar Casino & Hotel. The SLS property will be the company's first outside the United States; it currently operates hotels in Miami Beach and Beverly Hills.
