In Napa Valley, Calif., the luxury Carneros Resort and Spa has wrapped up its guest-room renovation with upgrades to all 94 cottages and suites. The updates include redesigned bedrooms, living rooms and bathrooms, in addition to new outdoor-terrace amenities and gas fire pits. The makeover follows last summer's debut of the completely renovated spa.

The new look - designed by Oakland, Calif.-based firm Nina Chiappa Interiors, which also handled the spa renovation, is inspired by nature and wine-country living. Warm wood tones and a refined rustic finish define the cottage interiors, in line with the modern-farmhouse theme of the resort. Most of the cottages now have floor-to-ceiling glass bi-fold doors that open onto a spacious private outdoor deck, doubling the living space of the interiors. The decks are outfitted with upgraded dining tables and chaise lounges as well.

"As a destination resort, the Carneros Resort and Spa focuses on celebrating an elevated agrarian style that permeates throughout every element of our property, and this renovation brings it full circle," said Edward Costa, the resort's managing director. "Whether you are seeking to disconnect, reconnect or interact, the cottages, suites and homes provide a strong sense of belonging that complement the wine-country resident experience."

Cottages feature new dressers and plush chairs, along with queen-size sleeper sofas in the larger units. Tech upgrades include portable Bluetooth speakers, faster WiFi and bigger HDTVs, while the bathrooms are more luxurious than ever with white-splashed tile and polished quartzite stone throughout.

The resort also has partnered with on-demand private aviation company EvoJets to provide transport from anywhere in the world to the noncommercial Napa County Airport. For VIPs, the "Wine and Away" package includes private jet transport, an onboard Carneros Resort in-flight experience, accommodations in the resort's two- and three-bedroom private homes and spa, and in-home dining.

The Carneros Resort offers 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, as well as three on-site dining venues, among them the popular Farm at Carneros.
