Plans for a 459-room condo-hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii, are under way, thanks to California developer Pacrep LLC, according to the Honolulu Star. Construction on the 34-story tower might begin as early as March 2013, with a $275 million price tag. The project, tentatively referred to as 2121 Kuhio Tower, will be the first new hotel in Waikiki since Trump International Hotel Waikiki Beach Walk opened in late 2009.
