According to the Houston Chronicle, Houston First Corp. is seeking proposals from developers and designers for a new hotel near the George R. Brown Convention Center. Houston First chairman Ric Campo told the paper that the new property could cost $400 million to build. The corporation runs the center and owns its main hotel, the 1,200-room Hilton Americas Houston. A design and development team could be chosen as early as this summer.
