In a conference call on Thursday, Mike Garcia, CFO and senior vice president of acquisitions and development for Omni Hotels, said the Omni Dallas Hotel, the new headquarters hotel for the Dallas Convention Center, might open earlier than its mid-January target. The property will offer 1,001 rooms, a Bob's Steak and Chop House, and 110,000 square feet of meeting space, including 21 meeting rooms and a 32,000-square-foot grand ballroom. Also on-site will be a Bob's Steak & Chop House, a farm-to-table restaurant for the casual diner, and Omni's signature Mokara Spa. The property will be connected by skybridge to the Dallas Convention Center.
