At the 513-room Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., the new 3,200-square-foot Seely Pavilion has debuted, bringing the property's meeting-space total to more than 58,000 square feet.

The pavilion's architecture honors the style and craftsmanship of the 1913 main building and was designed to showcase the natural beauty of the surrounding property. Features include exposed trusses, reclaimed wood and a stacked hearth around a large fireplace, polished concrete flooring, and six pairs of floor-to-ceiling doors and windows offering panoramic views of the mountains and the Donald Ross-designed golf course. Desipte its rustic design, the pavilion's infrastructure includes all the expected technical amenities.

The Seely Pavilion is named in honor of the Grove Park Inn Resort designer and original general manager, Frederick Loring Seely. A portrait of Seely hangs in the venue, painted by local artist James Daniel.

Amenities at the Omni Grove Park Inn include a 43,000-square-foot subterranean spa, the par-70 golf course and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, which offers mountain biking, whitewater rafting, fly-fishing and kayaking outings. The dining options are just as varied, with four restaurants and four bars, including the Vue 1913 American brasserie and Edison Craft Ales + Kitchen.
