The Regional Transportation District Board in Denver has approved redevelopment plans for Union Station that include a new 130-room hotel, to open in spring 2014. The property will be affiliated with the 80-room Oxford Hotel across the street, which is run by Sage Hospitality. The station currently is the downtown light rail stop for lines running to the Denver Tech Center and Littleton; a new line opens west to Golden in 2013, and to the Denver International Airport in 2015. The hotel's amenities and meeting space have yet to be determined.
