The planning commission for Galveston, Texas, voted unanimously to allow the construction of a nine-story hotel on the seawall, according to the Galveston County Daily News. The 80-room property, proposed by Amir Fadaei, president of Houston-based Jaland LLC, will exceed the city's height and density zone rules, the paper reported.
