The 196-room Q & C Hotel and Bar in New Orleans will join Marriott's Autograph Collection within six months, according to the hotel's new owner, Encore Hospitalty. The Central Business District property was renovated in 2014 by former owner Northview Hotel Group and sold to Encore Hospitaly for $51.2 million. The property, which was built in 1913 and was originally called the Queen & Crescent Hotel, has 2,600 square feet of event space, a fitness cente, and the Q & C Bar, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout, and guest-room offerings include 47-inch flat-screen televisions with tele-adapt wireless capability, workstations, Keurig coffeemakers, small refrigerators, safes and walk-in showers. Filtered water stations throughout the hotel are also complimentary for guest use.
"The Q&C Hotel/Bar is a historical landmark of New Orleans, and we intend on extending its legacy as a cornerstone for business and leisure travelers, as well as serving as one of the city's premier wedding venues," said Bharat Sangani, chairman of Encore Enterprises.
