The 293-room Sheraton® Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel has opened in the Indonesian capital, the second Sheraton in the city. The property is part of the Superblock Gandaria City complex, a mixed-use development that includes a mall, convention facilities, a helipad and several restaurants.
"Jakarta has established itself as a thriving destination for travelers, and we are excited to respond to this rising demand by opening our second Sheraton hotel in this bustling city," said Dave Marr, global brand leader for Sheraton Hotels & Resorts.
The property features more than 38,000 square feet of function space, a a state-of-the-art fitness center, an outdoor pool, and a Sheraton Club lounge with complimentary breakfast and all-day refreshments, plus panoramic views of the city. Dining options include Anigre, serving international cuisine and local dishes; the lobby lounge, which features Paired, the brand's new F&B program specializing in matched small plates, premium wines and local craft beers; and the Cafe Grande pastry shop.
The new hotel is the latest step in the Sheraton brand's goal of adding more than 150 new hotels worldwide by 2020.
