 Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has opened the flagship Sheraton Stamford Hotel in the heart of the Connecticut city's downtown. The 379-room property features all of the brand's signature elements, such as Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds, Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance and the Link Caf√©. The guest rooms have oversized work desks, ergonomic chairs, 37-inch flat-screen TVs and MP3 docking station. For groups, the property offers 13,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space. The restaurant, 700 On Main, serves American fare. The hotel is a few blocks from Stamford's Harbor Point area, where Starwood will open its new global headquarters in early 2012.
