MGM Resorts International will build a new 5,000-seat theater at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, to debut in late 2016. The flexible concert venue will offer a variety of seating configurations, and will add another venue to the new district alongside MGM's The Park and its 20,000-seat arena, on track to open next spring.

"This new theater will enable us to host performers in Las Vegas, for whom we previously haven't had a home," said MGM President Bill Hornbuckle, "broadening our entertainment offerings and providing the opportunity to expand those relationships to our properties around the globe."

In preparation for the new venue, the Blue Man Group, currently performing at the Monte Carlo, will move to the Luxor this fall. The group will take over the venue that currently is home to Jabbawockeez, which will move to the MGM Grand, into a renovated theater currently occupied by Beacher's Madhouse. In both cases, the groups are returning to their original Las Vegas resort homes.
