New Trump Hotel in D.C. to Feature Restaurant by Chef Geoffrey Zakarian
Chef Geoffrey Zakarian will open his first restaurant in the nation's capital in the 270-room Trump International Hotel, Washington, D.C. The National, an American bistro, will debut along with the property in mid-2016, as the Trump Organization finishes a $200 million redevelopment of the Old Post Office. The hotel also will feature a 5,000-square-foot spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center and 36,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 13,000-square-foot ballroom. Two presidential suites spanning 3,500 and 5,000 square feet, respectively, are being carved out of the former offices of the postmaster general.
