Omni Hotels & Resorts has implemented LivePerson Enterprise, a live chat technology platform, within the meetings and events section of its website. The technology allows planners to communicate live, via Internet-based chat, with Omni sales managers about RFPs and meetings-related support. The hotel company, which already had been using LivePerson in other areas of the website, has been testing the platform for meetings business since April. Meanwhile, the group-venue booking site Pogby also has rolled out a live-chat solution, known as Pogby Concierge. Planners now can receive instant feedback regarding venue or package information, as well as receive text-based chat assistance to help narrow down venue options.
