Omni Hotels & Resorts has agreed to buy the 564-room Westin Providence (R.I.) hotel from the Procaccianti Group, according to the Providence Journal. Connected to the Rhode Island Convention Center, the property offers about 23,000 square feet of its own meetings space, a spa, a fitness center and three dining options. The deal is expected to close in December, at which time the name of the hotel likely will change.
