The 2,009-room Orlando World Center Marriott has added Latitude & Longitude, a unique restaurant and bar serving Southern-inspired dishes by executive chef Eric Martinez, as well as seasonal specials with local in-season ingredients from area farms and vendors. Many menu items incorporate organic produce and herbs grown sustainably in-house at the hotel's new state-of-the-art hydroponic garden. The eatery can accommodate up to 500 guests for breakfast and lunch, 200 for dinner and 700 for special events.
Other improvements at the hotel, which is less than two miles from Walt Disney World, include a refurbishment of the Crystal Ballroom, with new lighting, furnishings and a refreshed color scheme. The property offers a total of 450,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Featured amenities at the resort include the Falls Pool Oasis; the Slide Tower, with two 200-foot-long winding waterslides and a speed slide; the Splash Zone and Kid's Activity Zone; the Poolside Bar and Grill; an 18-hole championship golf course, and a spa and fitness center.
Late last year, Orlando World Center Marriott launched its World Finder app, which uses iBeacon technology and 3-D mapping to help guests navigate the 200-acre resort.
