The Palm Beach (Fla.) County Board of County Commissioners gave the green light to begin planning a 400-room Hilton hotel connected to the existing Palm Beach County Convention Center. The property will offer an as yet undetermined amount of meeting space. The project, already granted a $27 million subsidy from the county, will see an additional $65.7 million from investment group Related Co. and $8 million from the federally funded New Market Tax Credit program. Construction is expected to be completed no later than 2015.
