Paradise Point, a Destination Hotel, on San Diego's Mission Bay, will debut a new 15,500-square-foot meeting and events space on its private island this fall. The Sunset Pavilion, which will be next to the resort's bayfront conference center, will bring the property's total meeting space to more than 80,000 square feet. The custom-designed venue can accommodate groups of more than 1,000 guests and will be equipped with modern design features, including 120 feet of glass walls and doors showcasing panoramic views of Mission Bay, handmade chandeliers, premium event carpeting and up to 28-foot-high ceilings. A 4,000-square-foot prefunction space also will be available on an adjacent terrace.

The 462-room Paradise Point first opened in 1962 on a 44-acre island with more than a mile of beach encircling the resort. On-site amenities include five pools, a tropical garden, an island-themed spa, an 18-hole putting course, a private marina, beach bonfire pits and five dining venues, including two waterfront restaurants.
