According to news reports, the 782-room Hilton Portland and Executive Tower is being sold to Walton Street Capital, a private equity firm, and its partner, Lodging Capital Partners LLC, both of Chicago, for about $100 million. The sale comes as the city begins negotiations to build a Hyatt headquarters hotel for the Oregon Convention Center. The Hilton offers 66,000 square feet of meeting space, the Bistro 921 restaurant and bar, the Porto Terra Tuscan Bar and Grill, a fitness center and an indoor pool. The property will continue to be managed by Hilton.
