Red Lion Hotels debuted Signature, its refreshed boutique brand, with the official opening of the Signature San Francisco this week. The 34-room SoMa property, formerly the City Center Inn & Suites, has been reimagined with a retro-modern touch and features midcentury modern furniture and eclectic design elements.
"We are so excited to open the first refreshed Signature hotel in San Francisco," said Amanda Marcello, senior vice president of brand strategy at RLH Corp. "Located in the heart of the SoMa district, the Signature San Francisco was revitalized and repositioned from a dated hotel into a vibrant and bold boutique hotel experience through focused renovations to guest rooms and common areas."

The property is on 7th Street between Folsom and Howard, about five blocks from Moscone Center [http://www.moscone.com/site/do/index] and three blocks from the Westfield San Francisco Centre mall on Market Street. Guest rooms feature 52-inch HD TVs and high-speed WiFi, as well as mobile check-in and mobile key functionality.

"Pairing midcentury modern design with an approachable price tag, Signature by RLH manages to capture the earnest mentality of a bygone era, bringing the golden age of travel to life through smart design and modern conveniences," said Marcello.

Conference attendees can experience that bygone era for themselves via booked room blocks, although the Signature has no meeting space of its own.
