Hotel industry icon Lalia Rach will step down at the end of this academic year from her role as divisional dean of the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism and Sports Management. Rach will return to being a full-time faculty member in order to teach, conduct research and mentor students. During her 15-year tenure, Rach developed both undergraduate and graduate programs for the then newly developed center, and recruited industry professionals to become full-time faculty members. The center now offers two undergraduate degrees, three master's degrees and three graduate-level certificates. The school currently is conducting a search for a new dean.
