Regent Hotels & Resorts is expanding its portfolio in Asia. The luxury hotel brand has signed deals for three new-build properties in China and one in Jakarta, Indonesia. The first to debut will be the 202-room Regent Chongqing in China, which will feature five meeting rooms, a grand ballroom and a deluxe business center to open by year-end 2016. It will be followed in 2017 by two more properties in China, the 156-room Regent Place Xian and the 284-room Regent Harbin. The 136-room Regent Jakarta, in the heart of Indonesia's capital, will follow in 2018. The company currently has seven properties in Europe, the Caribbean and Asia.
