The 181-room Renaissance Santiago Hotel opened this week in Chile's capital city, in the upscale neighborhood of Vitacura. The property is the third Renaissance to open in South America, following those in Caracas, Venezuela, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Food-and-beverage outlets include the signature restaurant, Catae, as well as the D-bar & Lounge, the Kaitek Café Bar and El Cofa Bar. Also on-site are the Elential Fitness Center & Spa, an outdoor pool and 12,000 square feet of conference space. The property is pursuing LEED certification.
