A multimillion-dollar renovation has been finished at the 176-room Sheraton Commander Hotel in Harvard Square in Cambridge, Mass. The work upgraded the guest rooms, the Club lounge and the lobby. The rooms now sport "whisper quiet" windows, oversize work desks, custom-designed ergonomic chairs, LCD flat-screen TVs, Starbucks coffee makers and Sheraton Sweet Sleeper beds. In the lobby, communal seating areas now offer guests places to gather. The property has 5,000 square feet of meeting space, including the George Washington and Mount Vernon ballrooms that have been restored to their original 1927 beauty. The NuBar Restaurant and Lounge features seasonal local fare, and the fitness facility features the Sheraton Fitness by Core Performance.
